Cynthia and Ben have to be one of the sweetest and laid back couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. In Colorado you can marry without an officiant and that’s just what these two did to make their intimate ceremony even more special. They had 6 of their closest family there and each person read a passage from their wedding book. There was so much love, laughter, and tears in the room. I even felt apart of the family with all the love surrounding the place. Manitou Springs is a gorgeous backdrop for their special day, we stopped off at Red Rock Canyon for a few photos of just them before they all sat at their candlelit dinner and the sun came out just for them before pouring down rain as we left. My favorite detail had to be Cynthia’s non traditional beautifully colored wedding dress. (It went absolutely perfect with her growing baby bump!) Here are my favorites of the day:

2012 Has been one amazing year! I’ve had the best couples that have had me capture their most imporant memories. I’ve been very fortunate to have shot at a lot of venues all over Colorado and a fabulous Wyoming wedding. I’m extremely excited to share Sommer and Matt’s engagement session in Memphis with everyone! I’ve known Sommer for the past 10 years when we met back in 7th grade. Even though years and distance has kept us apart I’ll always consider her one of my best friends. This was my first time meeting her fiance Matt and there’s no way I could have even wished a more perfect man to grow old with her. It honors me more that she’s entrusting me with her wedding photography. We started off the session downtown Memphis on Beale Street and ended with a sunset in the country. I can’t wait for the wedding!!

Fall is in full effect and I felt so happy to be able to photograph Alex and Meg’s engagement session up near her parent’s cabin in Allenspark. This entire community is just thriving with the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Even just driving in my car I was greeted by other cars passing me with their hands stretched out and waving to me. I’m super excited to be shooting their wedding next summer at the Evergreen Lake House with Becky Carroll from A Touch of Bliss Events!

Seriously, this Evergreen engagement session has to be in the books as one of my most favorite engagements ever! We got to have variety and fun, these two have so much energy and truly it comes out when photographing them. They are my ideal couple and I’m so excited to shoot their wedding next June at the gorgeous Evergreen lake House. For now I’d love to share my favorite images from their engagement session from cool places such as Evergreen Memorial Park all the way to Little Bear Saloon right in the heart of this city. I love my job and am constantly reminded of just how much when I have the best couples in Colorado and beyond. Enjoy!
